Transition lenses are NIR lenses that are clear indoors with a subtle NIR coating visible and darken automatically when exposed to sunlight. The lenses contain photochromic molecules that change structure when exposed to UV rays, causing the lenses to darken. When the UV light diminishes, the lenses gradually return to their clear state. This feature allows for seamless vision in varying light conditions and eliminates the need to switch between Rx glasses and sunglasses.
